Submit Same-Day Transportation Changes to Your Campus

Transportation change requests must be submitted directly to your student’s campus on the day of the requested change and no later than 1:00 p.m.

Requests received after 1:00 p.m. will not be processed except in the event of an emergency. This deadline allows campus staff sufficient time to communicate transportation changes and ensure students are dismissed safely and correctly.

You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been received. Please ensure you receive this confirmation, as it verifies that your request has been received for processing.

Important: Notes, phone calls, text messages and emails sent to anyone other than the designated campus transportation-change email address listed above will not be accepted as transportation change requests.

Permanent Transportation Changes

Same-day campus transportation changes and permanent transportation location changes follow different processes.

How do I make a permanent change to my student's transportation location?

Liberty Hill ISD Transportation will provide bus service only to the approved transportation address on file for the student. To request a permanent change to your student’s transportation location, email the Transportation Department directly at transportationoffice@libertyhill.txed.net .

Please allow up to five business days for permanent transportation changes to be processed after your request is received.

Please include:

Student’s full name
Campus and grade level
Homeroom teacher, if applicable
Current transportation location
Requested transportation location
Any other pertinent information

You will receive an email confirming receipt of your request and another notification once the change has been processed. Please do not begin using the new transportation location until you receive confirmation that the change is complete.

Important: Permanent transportation changes must be submitted directly to the Transportation Department. Notes, phone calls, text messages, campus transportation-change emails or requests sent to other staff members will not be accepted or processed as permanent transportation changes.

Why does it take up to five days to process a permanent transportation change?

Student safety and accurate routing are top priorities. When a permanent transportation change is requested, the Transportation Department must review several factors before the change can be approved and implemented.

This review may include:

Confirming the requested location is within Liberty Hill ISD boundaries
Verifying the location is eligible for transportation based on the student’s attendance zone
Determining whether the requested area is currently served by an existing route
Confirming available seating capacity
Evaluating whether the change will significantly affect existing route times or stops
Updating route information and notifying families when a change affects other riders

Because permanent changes may affect routes, stops, capacity and other students, please allow up to five business days for the Transportation Department to review and process your request.
