Volunteer

Liberty Hill ISD is more than a school district. We are a community built on strong partnerships among families, staff, businesses, organizations, and local supporters.

Whether you want to volunteer in our schools, mentor young readers, support student programs, or serve on an advisory committee, there are many meaningful ways to make a difference. Your time, perspective, and involvement help strengthen our schools and support our students as we continue #BuildingChampions.

Become an LHISD Volunteer

The safety of our students is a priority in Liberty Hill ISD. Before volunteering with LHISD students, volunteers must complete required student safety training and applicable background check requirements.

Complete the required safety training and assessment.

Review the Contractor & Volunteer Student Safety Training and complete the required assessment .

Submit the required background check authorization.

During the training and assessment process, you will be provided with the required background check authorization form. Complete the Texas DPS Computerized Criminal History (CCH) Verification Form and submit the required documentation to the LHISD Human Resources Department as instructed.

Wait for district approval.

After all required steps are complete, including the background check, you will receive notification through Raptor regarding your approval status. Incomplete applications cannot be approved.

Important: Please do not begin volunteering until you have completed all required steps and received approval from the district.

Volunteer applications must be submitted each school year.

District Advisory Committees

Community participation helps inform district planning, programs, priorities, and decision-making.

District Education Improvement Council (DEIC)

Support districtwide planning and continuous improvement through community and stakeholder participation.

Provide community input related to student health, wellness, and district health education initiatives.

Student & Campus Support Organizations

Families and community members can support LHISD students through campus organizations, booster clubs, mentoring programs, and other volunteer opportunities.

PTO / PPO Organizations

Several LHISD campuses have a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) or Panther Parent Organization (PPO) where parents and community members can support students, staff, programs, and campus activities.

Watch D.O.G.S.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a school-based family and community engagement organization that provides opportunities for fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, and other father figures to volunteer in schools.

Volunteers serve in a variety of campus activities as assigned by the school principal or another administrator.

Booster clubs provide valuable support for athletics, fine arts, and student activities throughout Liberty Hill ISD.

Education Connection

Education Connection partners with Liberty Hill ISD to support early literacy and student success by connecting volunteers with elementary students for weekly one-on-one reading sessions.

The program gives community members an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students while supporting foundational reading skills and long-term academic success.
